Monisha Lozier

Monisha Lozier is a proud Midwesterner, a lucky daughter, the wife of a submariner-turned-nonprofit leader, a flawed-but-awed mother, a passionate career coach, a veteran recruiter, a fired-up feminist, an obsessive connector, an active volunteer, and a work in progress.

For more than 25 years, she has blended her passion for the education sector with executive search and career coaching. She currently serves as an active career coach in three national leadership development cohorts, as well as locally through volunteer coaching with One Million Degrees and Braven. Over the course of her career, she has led executive search processes and leadership transitions for hundreds of organizations in the K–12 community and dozens in the higher education sector before that. Along the way, she has provided formal and informal counsel and coaching to boards, organizational leaders, and countless candidates pursuing senior roles.

Her work is typically on behalf of district and charter leaders, foundations, nonprofits, boards, and philanthropists focused on educational equity, who engage her to attract and select top talent. In addition, she has provided in-depth research and analysis to support the identification, screening, and selection processes for prestigious and highly selective leadership fellowship programs. She has also partnered with competitors to design, develop, and deliver multitier talent identification processes and recruiting pipelines for clients seeking to build regional talent “ecosystems” in education.

She is currently working as an independent contractor. Her prior roles include Co-Founder and Partner at Promise54, a nonprofit consulting firm focused on talent and DEI+A; Co-Founder, Partner, and Management Team member at Bellwether Education Partners, a nonprofit consultancy dedicated to dramatically improving outcomes for underserved students; Managing Consultant in A.T. Kearney’s executive search practice, specializing in searches for leaders of universities, education-related associations and nonprofits, and for-profit education companies; and Associate, Senior Associate, and the first-ever Client Partner in Korn Ferry International’s education practice. She holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a B.A. from Connecticut College.
