Chaka Booker
For nearly twenty years, Chaka Booker has honed his expertise in leadership development, coaching and culture building. Chaka has experience working with organizations ranging from nonprofit start-ups to private sector corporations to Ivy League institutions, including Analysis Group, National Head Start Association, KIPP SoCal, Yale University, and the J. Paul Getty Trust.
He is the chief people officer for The Broad Foundation and Family Office, founded by philanthropists Eli and Edythe Broad. He was previously managing director for The Broad Center, a national organization focused on leadership development that partnered with 40+ organizations annually. Chaka is a Pahara Fellow at The Aspen Institute, a Forbes contributor on entrepreneurship, and the author of two books: The Empowered Candidate and Mastering The Hire (HarperCollins). He is a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and has degrees in economics and psychology from UCLA and an MBA from Stanford University.
