<image:title>Mollie Mitchell - Mollie Mitchell</image:title>
<image:caption>Mollie is the President and Founder of The K12 Search Group. She has been an executive recruiter in the education sector since 2001, longer than any of her direct competitors. Since creating The K12 Search Group in 2007, Mollie has worked with dozens of high-performing charter school operators, state charter school associations, and K-12 education nonprofits nationwide to help them recruit executive talent. Before founding The K12 Search Group, Mollie led recruitment efforts at The Broad Center, a nonprofit organization established by businessman and philanthropist Eli Broad to attract and train talented leaders for charter schools and urban school systems. Mollie was the first full-time staff member hired to oversee all recruiting activities for the Center’s two leadership development programs: The Broad Superintendents Academy, a ten-month competitive fellowship to prepare professionals to run large urban school systems, and The Broad Residency, a two-year placement program for rising leaders in a large urban school system or CMOs. She designed and managed the entire annual selection and admissions process for both programs. Mollie started her executive search career at Heidrick & Struggles, a leading global search firm. Mollie holds a BA from Brigham Young University and an MA from Marymount University. She is a dedicated advocate for educational equity and has served on the boards of charter schools in Los Angeles, Austin, and Santa Fe. She was also a board trustee of Great Minds, the creator of high-quality curricula, Eureka Math, and Wit & Wisdom. Mollie has lived in Washington, DC, Denver, Los Angeles, and Santa Fe, NM. She currently lives in Austin. When she is not walking her golden retrievers or recruiting C-level executives, she is likely playing Mahjong.</image:caption>

She is an integral part of the team, supporting internal operations while also working closely with clients to deliver a seamless, high-quality experience for both clients and candidates. A recent graduate of The University of Texas at Austin (B.A. in Sustainability Studies, Magna Cum Laude), she is deeply passionate about expanding access to quality public education and about building sustainable, thriving communities. During her time in college, Sadie completed a year-long fellowship with the Georgia House of Representatives, where she contributed to policy development and decision-making. She later interned with The Colorado River Alliance, an Austin-based nonprofit, where she led award-winning environmental education programs for students from Title I schools. In addition to her academic and policy experience, Sadie has been a backpacking instructor for youth in Colorado, focusing on environmental stewardship, outdoor confidence-building, and leadership development. She also worked as a docent for Pease Park in Austin—the city’s oldest and most historic public park—where she guided Title I school groups through environmental education lessons and place-based learning initiatives. Sadie is an 8th-generation Texan who can often be found at her local climbing gym when she isn’t assisting Mollie and Melissa with searches and business development.</image:caption>

Previously, Webb founded and served as CEO of Freedom Prep Charter Schools, a high-performing public charter network in Memphis, Tennessee. Under her leadership from 2009 through 2025, Freedom Prep grew from a single cohort of approximately 100 sixth graders into a network of six schools serving nearly 2,000 students across elementary, middle, and high school. During her tenure, Freedom Prep consistently produced some of the highest academic growth scores in Tennessee and expanded beyond state lines with the launch of a school in Birmingham, Alabama. Webb began her career as an education attorney for a city school district, where she developed a deep commitment to advancing educational equality through public systems. Seeking broader impact, she later served as Deputy Director at New Leaders for New Schools, recruiting and developing school leaders and forging strategic community partnerships. Throughout her career, Webb has held a core belief that education represents the modern civil rights movement. Her work continues to focus on closing achievement and opportunity gaps linked to race, income, and geography. Webb holds a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies from Rhodes College, as well as a Juris Doctor and a Master’s in Politics and Public Affairs from Rutgers University.</image:caption>
